Looking for a safe, quiet and affordable area to settle down with your family? Want the residential feel of a suburban neighborhood without the long commute? Check out the homes for sale in North Knoxville. With a current average listing price of $122,636, there is a home in North Knoxville for every budget. While the area isn’t necessarily known for its restaurant and shopping options, Downtown marketsqKnoxville’s many amenities are only a short six mile drive away. Don’t mind a longer commute into the city? Head southwest to Farragut and Bearden, both popular areas for buyers with families seeking a safe, affordable home close to great schools.

The sprawling waterfront estates are understandably more expensive, with listing prices that range from $700,000 up into the millions.

A home in Bearden not only provides access to the area’s many trendy boutiques and locally-owned restaurants, the area also boasts one of Knoxville’s best school districts. The neighborhood borders Kingston Pike to the north, a popular thoroughfare that feeds directly into Downtown Knoxville, and Fort Loudoun Lake to the south. Although, there are pockets of great real estate deals to be found throughout Bearden.

Ten years ago Farragut was mostly farmland, but as Knoxville has grown, so has this up-and-coming area. Today, Farragut has become increasingly popular. The area, like Bearden, is known for its top-rated school district.
